City of Mississauga Receives Recognition for Air Quality Improvements

June 4th, 2010

The City of Mississauga receives recognition for its air quality initiatives that have resulted in emission reductions, increased public awareness and cost savings at the 2010 Clean Air and Climate Change Summit hosted by the Clean Air Partnership (CAP) on June 2, 2010 at Toronto City Hall.

“I was proud to accept this award on behalf of the City of Mississauga. This summit allows cities to challenge each other to do even more to benefit our residents and our environment,” said Ward 5 Councillor Eve Adams. Adams signed the “Greater Toronto Area Clean Air Council 2010 Inter-Governmental Declaration on Clean Air and Climate Change” that outlines joint actions on air quality and climate change on behalf of the City.
